Concise Consulting Ltd. was established in 1997 since when we have undertaken a large number of projects, here is a sample of the types of projects we have been involved with.
AHED Ltd., Stockton on Tees, Cleveland
Developed bespoke modules around Chorus Financials and JoBS/400 distribution system.
Implemented a Windows 2000 server, email server and an ethernet network with ADSL links to the internet. Subseqently replaced the email server with an upgraded system running WIndows 2003 and Microsoft Exchange.
Designed, developed and implemented an EDI system based on TradaComs standards to interface the JoBS/400 system to TrustedLink EV5 and GEIS.
Upgraded AS/400 model 620 from V3R7 to V5R1. Subsequently replaced existing 620 with a System i5 model 500 at V5R3.
Continue to provide on-going support of AS/400 hardware, software and EDI system.
PWS Distributors Ltd., Newton Aycliffe, Co Durham
Designed and developed a series of interfaces to allow all functions from the JBA system to be exectued from interface files sent by a PC based ERP application.
Designed and developed an interface between the JBA Inventory,Purchase Order Management and Sales Order Processing systems to/from a Windows NT based warehouse management system.
Designed and developed an interface between the AS/400 and a Windows NT based document imaging system.
Designed and developed a web based system to allow customers to upload XML orders to the AS400 which are then interfaced directly into the existing JBA Sales Order Processing system.
Upgraded existing JBA system to version 3.5.2 service pack 4.
Migrated existing AS/400 applications, users, data and system settings from an AS/400 model 170 to a new model 270.
Continue to provide on-going support of AS/400 hardware, software and interfaces.
Developed routines to send EDI invoices and credit notes to customers and to receive EDI orders from customers. Interfaced these with the JDE World application.
Designed and developed a system to record and control breakdowns and planned maintenance of factory machinery.
Project managed the setup, migration and interface requirements of an Oracle based billing application for Imass's client South East Water.
Implemented a European wide EDI solution for InOne's client Yazaki Europe Ltd based on JD Edwards OneWorld, Inovis TrustedLink EV5 and ODI/400.
Jackel International Ltd, Northumberland
Designed and developed software to allow orders entered by salesmen into handheld devices to be interfaced directly into an existing Sales Order Processing system.
Implemented JBA System 21 Finance, Distribution and Warehousing modules (including JAL data capture software) and developed routines to migrate data from an existing System/36 based system. Implemented Harbinger TrustedLink EDI system.
Provided a technical support service for a bespoke system comprising Sales Order Processing, Stock Control, Warehousing, Purchase Order Management and Finance modules.
Designed and developed an interface between the JBA System 21 Sales Order Processing, Purchase Order Management and Inventory systems with an external warehouse system based on a UNIX system. This was implemented in sales offices in England, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Poland with the central warehouse in The Netherlands.
JBA Corporate, Birmingham
Worked for a number of JBA clients (Lee Cooper, Dr Martens, Sioen Industries, Dunlop Sports and Akai) on European wide projects to implement the JBA Style distribution system. Defined user requirements, produced specifications, modified existing JBA programs, developed new programs and provided a technical support service.
Developed and implemented an interface between the JBA System 21 Sales Order Processing system and an external warehouse system based on Windows NT.
Whessoe Varec Plc., Darlington, Co Durham
Upgraded JBA Financial, Manufacturing and Distribution systems from version 3.2 to 3.4.2 and then to 3.5.1. This included upgrading existing bespoke work and development of new bespoke programs to enhance the standard JBA systems.
Designed and developed a sales commissions system which interfaced to the JBA Sales Order Processing module.
Designed and developed a new reporting system based on the JBA Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) application to provide more detailed information to help the manufacturing plant to be run more efficiently.
Configured TCP/IP on an AS/400 as part of a project to replace a mixed ethernet/token ring network with a wholly ethernet network utilising TCP/IP to communicate between client workstations, the AS/400 and multiple NT servers.
Provided a technical support service for all of the AS/400 based applications used within Whessoe Varec, liased with software suppliers and installed fixes where necessary.
Autrans Europe Ltd., Sunderland, Tyne and Wear
Carried out modifications to a warehousing system which used radio data capture devices.
